From 24th to 29th of may of 2006 DIVERSA Festival Internacional de Cine Gay / Lésbico / Trans de Argentina was presented in Mendoza, Argentina, with head in Cine Universidad (Lavalle street 77 ).

The opening for the feature and short films exhibition took place in the Universidad Theatre, with a performance by the well recognized pop artist Leo García and other local musicians.

Two different activities related to the Huésped Foundation's annual campaign to prevent AIDS were programmed for the event. On one hand, Gaby Herbstein's 2006 calendar photographs were exhibit in the art gallery, while in the other there was a screening of the latest animation short films produced by them.

Concepts like respect for diversity, social inclusion and AIDS prevention were installed in the province, gathering artist that are icons for the subject and through productions of an enormous artistic and cultural quality.

This event, without any precedents in the province, was coproduced by the Sub-Secretary of Culture of the province and supported by the Government of Godoy Cruz.
